Kerry Evetts - paediatric occupational therapist with 27 years of clinical experience, MOT (UKZN), Gold Coast Australia, and founder of SenseUp Training - has built this afternoon session around the one question she hears from OTs more than any other: I understand the theory. But what do I actually do in the session?
This is the answer to that question. Hands-on, practical, and limited to 20 OTs.
This session is for occupational therapists already registered for the morning workshop who are ready to take the day further.
- Saturday 5 September 2026 (14:00 - 17:00 SAST)
- Ashley Dearling OT Room, Curro Preschool, Ballito
Your afternoon at a glance:
Twenty OTs. One room. Strictly limited - and for good reason.
This is where knowledge becomes practice. The kind of afternoon that changes how you think inside a session - not just about it afterwards.
14:00 - 15:00 | Introduction and Overview
- The SenseUp Model of Practice
- Applying ASI Process Fidelity within occupational therapy practice
15:00 - 16:00 | Practical Exploration: Equipment Design and Use
- Exploring equipment design and whether it is fit for purpose
- Suspension and non-suspension equipment - how and when to use each, and why it matters clinically
16:00 - 16:50 | Small-Group Case Study: Applying Theory to Practice
- Treatment principles across a range of case presentations - from the child with high arousal to the child who shuts down
- Responsive, affirming treatment - reading the child on the day and adapting in real time rather than following a fixed plan
- Translating clinical reasoning into therapeutic practice
16:50 - 17:00 | Closing and Certificates
OTs who have done a full day with Kerry leave differently. That is not a claim. That is what the feedback says, every single time.
Based on 151 past participants: 89% rated the experience as Excellent | 98% were already implementing or very likely to implement the learning | 89% rated the materials as Excellent
Please note: This ticket covers the OT afternoon session only (14:00 - 17:00). The morning workshop is a separate booking.
