NICE TO MEET YOU
I am Kerry
I have identified as a 'sensory' OT since 2008. Although I had already been working as an OT for over a decade already, learning about sensory created such a monumental shift in me as a person, and as an OT.
I had always liked being an OT (Spinal Rehab and Hand Therapy in London) but when I learned about sensory, was when I realised I truly loved being an OT. I had never felt as fulfilled and gratified in my work as I do when working in sensory integration therapy.
Fast forward 15 years with a published Masters thesis (in sensory modulation measures), immigration to Australia, and a life threatening event - and I discovered my true calling - to teach - about sensory of course!
Now I use what I've learned over my long and joyful OT career to support and nurture OTs who also want to be sensory-informed and sensory-affirming, changing not just their practice but their sensory clients lives.
Kerry is very generous with her knowledge and is always there to guide us in a supportive manner. She’s a wonderful clinician, brilliant trainer, and just an amazing and kind person!
- Emilie D.
Your course was so fantastic, I cannot wait to rewatch the webinars all over again to continue to build on my knowledge and little tips/hints which didn't absorb the first time round.
Thankyou so much Kerry, you have transformed my skills as an Occupational Therapist!
- Sarah W.
The signature course has transformed my OT service. I now have a far greater understanding of sensory, neuroscience, why kids respond the way that they do, and overall the functional impact of difficulties with sensory processing. I now have a new lens to assess whats happening for kids
