Immersive Retreat
Three days where the learning becomes embodied.
The programme culminates in a three-day clinical immersion at Kerry's clinic on the Gold Coast, 7-9 July 2027. You move beyond discussing intervention and into observation, hands-on therapy implementation, direct mentoring, group clinical reasoning and real-time refinement of your thinking.
The 2026 retreat gives a clear picture of the immersive structure you can expect. It moved through three stages:
Day 1 - Observe & Reflect
Observe clinical work, share reasoning, meet children and establish the foundation for the case discussions.
Day 2 - Reason & Apply
Debrief sessions, present case goals and therapy plans, work individually and in small groups, then refine intervention planning.
Day 3 - Integrate & Grow
Step outside the clinic, reflect as a cohort, consolidate learning and identify what you will take back into practice.

Questions before you decide?
Who is eligible for TSAC Advanced Certification?
Advanced Certification is a progression programme for occupational therapists who have completed TSAC Lite or the previous 9-month TSAC programme. Enrolment is by invitation. Cohort 1 starts 3 February 2027 and is capped at a maximum of 10 OTs.
How is this different from TSAC Lite?
TSAC Lite builds the foundation. Advanced Certification asks you to demonstrate and refine that foundation through a real case, competency milestones, advanced clinical reasoning, intervention planning, professional documentation and the Gold Coast clinical immersion.
How long does the programme run?
The Advanced Certification runs over six months and combines on-demand learning, live group education and case discussion, milestone work, individual clinical application and the three-day retreat.
Do I need to bring a real case from my caseload?
Yes. Your case becomes the clinical thread through the programme. You will use assessment, reasoning, goal setting and intervention planning from your own practice as you progress through the competency milestones.
What happens at the Gold Coast Retreat?
The retreat is a three-day clinical immersion at SenseUp. The 2026 retreat included observation and debriefing, real-time clinical reasoning, case and therapy-plan work, small-group collaboration, practical integration and structured cohort reflection. Future retreat schedules may vary.
Is the retreat an optional extra?
No. The Sensory Immersion Retreat is part of the Advanced Certification pathway and is integrated into the competency-based learning experience.
How large is the cohort?
Advanced Certification is capped at a maximum of 10 occupational therapists per cohort so there is space for meaningful case discussion, clinical reasoning and direct mentoring.
What certificate will I receive?
Students who successfully complete the programme requirements receive a Competency-Based Certification in The SenseUp Approach. A sample certificate is shown above so you can see the style and scope of the credential.
