The SenseUp Approach Course is designed to fit as easily as possible into your work/home life. 

For example, the webinars that are released fortnightly, are self-study. This means that have been pre-recorded and you can watch them at your leisure! Each webinar is divided into chapters of  5 - 15 minutes long. You can listen in your car, while walking the dog or even when cleaning if you download the App. 

Webinar Time Commitment = 1-2 hours per fortnight

The hybrid design of the TSAC course features a fortnightly 1 hour Zoom meetings. This is a set time and a calendar of calls for the entire course is available for your planning. These are recorded if you cannot attend. These are not compulsory but are highly valuable and are our student favourite part!

Group Call Time Commitment = 1 hour per fortnight (optional) 

Each Series is followed by a multiple choice quiz, which is open book. Time Commitment = 30 minutes x 6. 

Total time: 5 hours a month 

The SenseUp Approach Course (TSAC) is a 9-month deep dive into sensory neuroscience, understanding the impact on development and occupations, and the assessment and intervention as well. This is why at this time, it's a course just for OT's. 

The Workshops are the practical component of the TSAC. It's a 1.5-day in-person workshop called Sensory In Action. The focus is on learning about the equipment used in sensory integration therapy, and both suspension and non-suspension equipment demo's.

TSAC is a very unique course - the only of its kind in this field of OT. The focus is on honing your observational skills so that you can determine your clients sensory needs, and the strategies and therapy they may benefit from, even without standardised assessment. These skills are crucial in our neuro-affirming practice as it means we can still get good information and therefore do great therapy even without a standardised assessment. 

Likewise, I teach you how to support the sensory needs of your clients in all their settings, using yourself as the primary resource! As OTs we are required to work in many different settings and therefore may be limited by equipment and resources. 

You will be successful because you will:

• understand the neuroscience behind sensory processing,
• use a framework for assessment & clinical reasoning
• use the framework to explain to families and colleagues 
• design tailored and individualised therapy sessions
• monitor and review with ease and confidence
• master child-led multi-sensory integration
